With love from the Blue Mountains

throwing you all lots of love

throwing you all lots of love

Not quite too sure what it is, maybe it’s the fresh mountain air or the long drive to the Blue Mountains or just a whole lot of colour your eyes take in, it’s always so refreshing spending a day somewhere you’ll never get sick of.

I hope everybody has enjoyed their long weekend so far and as for myself I spent it up in the mountains where I was supposed to go for a hike but then turned into location spotting for the best lookout points and a competition to see how many photos we could take on the edge of cliffs, which I lost because my legs were shaking looking at how high we were.

I love how the air is so fresh and crisp and that the views are always so breathtaking. Despite trekking up a tonne of stairs, it’s always worth it when you make it to your destination. That and your body will thank you later for how toned it will be.

Hope you enjoy some of these photos, something I definitely needed to do before I mentally prepare myself for how busy this week is. Why are there so many birthdays in May?

Have a great week everybody and until next time..

Dear Diary: Are you sure this is Autumn?

Talk about humidity, it’s the second week into Autumn and it is still unbelievably hot that I don’t even know how I’m dealing. It’s funny because I really wanted to invest in one of those pens that had a fan at the end of it but I figured that Summer was over and it wouldn’t be so hot, but I was so wrong.

I kind of feel a little bit like Autumn is really not being Autumn right now. I wish the past 10 days didn’t feel like it was an extended Summer so I could start wearing all the cute autumn winter fashion that are currently in stores at the moment. One of my all time favourite seasons would definitely be Winter.

There is something about layering clothes the right way in order to make your outfit look more fashionable and elegant and that is my kind of style.

Although I really love it being sunny and being able to see green trees and blue skies, it was definitely a refreshing change compared to Tokyo which didn’t have as much greenery like we do here in Sydney.  The past week I’ve been at a training session and I’m so thankful that I get to see this view pretty much everyday that I’ve been there. Also, because we were near the water, it was a lot cooler compared to the CBD.

I also struggle a little bit with eczema myself and because I hate that it’s hot so much, I sweat and the eczema gets going and it’s just a vicious cycle of me trying not to scratch and then I get irritated because I shouldn’t scratch it, but then it’s itchy and eczema strugglers you know what I’m talking about it.

I’m really hoping for cooler weather soon because I love my dark lipsticks and we all know autumn and winter is all about the dark lipsticks. Keep cool everybody and until next time..

Byeeeee!! xx.

Still on holiday mode..

A few weeks ago I was exploring the beautiful country of Japan. I say a few weeks but my mind still thinks that I’m there holidaying it up but then the weather hits me here in Sydney and I realise that I’m definitely not in Tokyo anymore.

My Tokyo trip was pretty spontaneous and with a whole lot of annual leave saved up and a friend to go with, we literally booked our flights 2 weeks before departure and spent 6 of the shortest days there. FYI, a week is definitely not enough.

As much as I wish that I could have all 700 photos that I took up on this blog, I think one picture a day can recap everything we did.

Most of our trip wasn’t planned and that’s definitely unlike me to go into something without a plan. I went with the flow of things and I was surprisingly really lucky to stumble upon a few amazing places like this temple. We spent the first day exploring the city of Asakusa and later visited the Tokyo Skytree.

I was really hoping that this was some amazing outdoor tower where I could freeze my face off considering it was 0 degrees that day, but have no fear, it was all inside and pretty difficult to get a picture with there being so many people. Nonetheless, the view from it was amazing!

On our second day we of course had to do a tour at Mt. Fuji. It was such great weather and I’m so thankful I was able to see it. Surprisingly not that cold there. It was around 6 degrees at the time and super sunny.

Our tour lasted the whole day. It was a 2 hour coach ride from Tokyo, but it was such an interactive tour that time flew by. We took Sunrise tours if anybody was curious. Although, I was still pretty hungry after the lunch that was provided.

The third day was my absolute favourite. Disneyland and DisneySea completely made my trip to Tokyo! We walked through the gates into DisneySea at 8 in the morning and stayed there until 6. From 6 we headed to DisneyLand, but if I could do it again, I would definitely do a 2 day pass. Disney Sea I heard was a lot more for adults and I think that’s what tempted us to go there first. They have a huge obsession with Minnie Mouse that I went a little bit crazy when I bought my Minnie bow.

Day four we visited Shibuya and of course had to take a picture of Hachiko statue and walk the Shibuya crossing.

We also stumbled upon Alice in a Dancing Land cafe. I was way too excited when I saw it. Such a cute little spot for a catch up with the girls, but the ambience really makes you feel like you’re in Alice’s Wonderland.

Later that day we headed to Robot restaurant in Shinjuku. There is only one word that can describe it and that is WOW! It is definitely nothing like you’ve seen before

Day five, we explored the Meiji Shrine and then spent most of the day in Harajuku where I bought the prettiest kimono jacket.

We later explored Ueno. There’s a really beautiful park and we kind of just walked for hours.

On our last day we had to go crazy with shopping. My friend Rio who lives in Japan took us to Odaiba. It was so good to see her but I’m so thankful I got to spend my last day in Tokyo with her.

Probably also had the best last meal in Japan as well

I absolutely loved my Japan trip and I definitely recommend that people go there. I loved how cold it was there and if you follow me on Instagram you would have seen how crazy I went in terms of makeup shopping. The food is on another level and I’m so happy and thankful I got to experience it. Here’s hoping I get to go again.

Let me know if you enjoyed my pictures and even if you’ve been to Japan. I’d love to hear stories and until next time..

Dear Diary: Where have I been?

So after my last blog post, it seems that I dropped off the face of the earth again and all I have to say is that this year has flown by. 😦 I could have sworn I was just writing up my last post a few weeks ago, which was definitely not the case.

You’ve probably been wondering what happened, where did I go and to be honest, I’ve kind of been busy obsessing over those vending claw machines. You know the ones where you think that, Oh, it’s only a dollar or two but then you end up spending many many dollars and I cannot even begin to tell you how much money has gone into all those machines lately. Given I have actually won quite a few toys from those machines, so it’s not a complete waste. They’re currently all just sitting on my inflatable chair in the corner of my room collecting dust, but hey, it was worth it.

Work has also taken up a huge part of my life as well since switching to full time and then trying to have a social life and keeping up with everything, it kind of gets exhausting, so catching up on some needed sleep has been the top priority, but here’s hoping and hoping and hoping that I can plant my butt onto this chair and keep blogging because I’ve missed it.. A LOT!

I’ll put up my instagram and twitter links when I’m back on them as well, but still feel free to check them out on the side bar.

🙂 xx.
