Dear Diary: My first ever Pandora!

For years I have been so against Pandora, there’s something about the charms that I’m just not interested in. I’m still not a big fan of the charm bracelets but the rings I get a little too crazy about.

I’ve had a very busy July and it always seems to happen, I recently just celebrated one of my best friend’s birthday where we ended up watching a double feature movie, had a massive brunch and ended the night with some sangria! Of course, with any birthday comes presents, so what better present than matching Pandora.

Normally when I walk into any kind of jewellery store I get so overwhelmed I end up walking out because I don’t want to deal with the unknown. However I was determined to buy some rings for my best friend and I and just kind of walked around until somebody approached me.  All the girls at work talk about being able to stack their Pandora rings and I wanted to be able to do that with mine as well.

I actually really enjoyed my experience at the Pandora store and just being able to mix and match what rings worked well with what was a lot of fun. For myself I ended up choosing a bow ring because we all know my obsession with bows is on another level, but also because my cousin has the same one who now lives in London and I really wanted the same ring as her so we could be twinning from however many miles away we are. The second ring is a flower ring which I also got for my best friend so we could be twinning as well.

I’m also not the biggest silver fan, whenever I choose jewellery I normally go for gold just because my skin is so sensitive, so here’s hoping nothing happens. It’s probably also my first piece of silver jewellery in a long time.

Hope everybody is having a really good day, can you guys believe it’s already JULY! Time is flying by so fast, I’ll have another blog up on here soon and until next time..

Byeeeee!! xx.

Dear Diary: Issues with ‘spring’ cleaning

Even though it’s summer here, I decided to do a little bit of spring cleaning, which makes me wonder why they call it spring cleaning in the first place. I’m not even going to google that, who knows what will come up.

Every year, or whenever I have time, or at least 3 days off  in a row to do nothing (which gives you a clear indication of how long it takes me to sort through my stuff, also how indecisive I am) I will decide to re arrange my wardrobe. Why, you may ask me and most of the time, it’s when it starts to look a little messy or I find myself stuffing clothes in my wardrobe, which leads to not finding what I need and just a whole lot of mess that I’ve created from throwing my clothes around.

After I’ve pulled out pretty much everything from my closet and then go to put them back, this is the thought process that runs through my head..

It’s too hot right now to wear this, but in Winter I defintiely will

Oh, this is a cute top, I might need this for an interview one day

I used to be able to wear these pants and I’ve only worn them once so that means I’ll wear them again…. later

I definitely need this jacket, it’s the only colour that I don’t have

This would be perfect for lazing about at home, it’s a bit ripped, but sooo comfortable

Mmmmm, this might come back into style, one day

Why do I have so many jumpsuits? and they’re all black!

I really need to give away those three bags of old clothes that I was supposed to give away 2 years ago.

Scarves!!! I can’t wait until it’s cold enough to use again

I should really sew these pants up, I’ll do it later (puts into the fix up pile)

Hmm, maybe my sister will like these, or my mum, whoever

Why did I decide to rearrange my wardrobe and why do I have so much stuff!

I kid you not, I go through this process every single time and I only ever throw away or give away a little bit each time. In the back of my mind, it’s always, I’ll wear this one day, so I really need to keep hold of them until it’s time to use it. To be honest, I think I should just have a bigger wardrobe, that way, this won’t be a problem, until it is….

Let me know if anybody has the same issue, I’d love to hear your thought process and until next time..

Byeeeee!! xx.

My little benefit city

Sometimes when you go shopping, you either shop because

1. you’re bored

2. you need to get things

3. you’re looking for a gift or

4. you just want to buy something for yourself  and even though it may be intended to give as a gift, it ends up being used by you….

This is a little post called .. presents to myself, a.k.a I didn’t really want to give it to anybody because I wanted to use it for myself and it was a great deal!

So we all know now, I am obsessed with makeup that when it comes to throwing old makeup I haven’t used in a while, I will have to literally ask myself, will I use this tomorrow or within a week, maybe a month, or even perhaps when the season changes, will I use it.

I went on a major throwing spree today, if I hadn’t used a product within at least 3 months, it had to go because I’ve had some serums that have been sitting there for years that I used to use but stopped because my skin went through a mass breakout two years ago and I just didn’t want to use anything, regardless it’s time to replace a couple of things.

I picked up the cutest little Benefit box gift which came with a full sized They’re Real mascara (my fav), full sized Stay don’t stray eye primer in light/medium, 75mL of Porefessional and a small bottle of the Gimme brow which I was dying to try out.

I actually double up that eye primer as a concealer. It really helps to brighten under my eyes and cover those dark circles which came out of nowhere and the gimme brow really fills in my brows, I only wish the box set I bought had the dark brown instead of the light one. I’ve also started using the box to store my lipsticks seeing as my collection is growing.

I’ve also been obsessing over different fragrances, so I picked up four of these eau de toilettes, each a different smell and has the cutest packaging ever! I also intend to put in four different photos in the windows.  A cute little makeshift photo frame, because the box is just way too nice to throw away.

Not too sure if they’re in store anymore, but if you do have one, maybe some of my ideas have helped you and until time…

Dear Diary: I over did it.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, is the only way I can start this blog off, the ONLY way I tell you. Also, big fan of this new font I’m typing in right now, wordpress users, you’ll know what I mean.

I have never seen my hairdresser so many times in a week, that she probably thinks that I do not have a life, but I do, well if you consider work my life, then YES I DO!

I have had a problem with my hair since circa 2010, where I would always get told my hair was either messy or too long to leave out and look, I just unfortunately have those little baby hairs that I cannot, seriously, cannot stick down to my head and honestly if you say use mousse or hairspray or gel or wax or whatever, it won’t work, it’s like spray tan on my body, it completely rejects it and the only way I can leave my hair out is to cut it shoulder length, which is what I intended on doing, but I over did it this time.

If you have a look at my last hair blog I was all like, I love cutting my hair short and it felt great to take that risk but I’ve realised now that, it’s too an extent.

I went in to get my hair cut for the second time in a week because I wanted a shoulder length cut for work purposes, next thing you know I walk out with a bob, which is definitely not what i’m used to and everytime I go to wash my hair, it just doesn’t feel like it’s there.

I know it’s just hair and it will grow, but with anything, changes need time to adjust and I am still waiting for that adjustment to kick in.

Anyways I will now be looking for ways to style this short thing on my head and until next time..

Byeee! xx.
