Dear Diary: When nerves take over

Always remember this QUOTE!

Always remember this QUOTE!

This girl can get pretty antsy when it comes to change. I, like probably 1 in 3 people live in this comfort zone and when things just take an unexpected turn, it is just a hot mess from head to toe, inside and out. The worst part is, sometimes, you’re the reason this change is happening. You decide to take upon the challenge of making a change that you’re doing this to yourself, no one else.

The past week I have  been dealing with a whole bunch of nerves that I wish I could control sometimes. Chamomile tea, saying goodbye to coffee for that week and focusing on my breathing, all these things I’ve been taking on to help me settle my nerves a lot better.

Which brings me to the fact that I cannot live without motivational quotes. They, to me are such a big part of lifting up my spirits when I’m feeling down, or I don’t think I can achieve something or whatever in my life that’s just not sitting right, I like to turn to these quotes for a little bit of inspiration. It was really strange how this quote came about. I decided to watch one of my favourite TV shows, called Plain Jane and something one of the mentors or coaches said on the show, affected me in a way that surprised me. The sentence which I’ve turned into a quote that I now live by is..

“The bigger we make what is a ‘big deal’, the BIGGER the big deal becomes”

Now take a moment and just think! I thought about it and I worried myself so much about this task that I had, that I was freaking out and getting my nerves all worked up, that when I focused on that quote, it instantly made me realise that it’s not a big deal if you don’t turn it into one. Instead, I tried to turn it into a positive thing, which it was, I’ve just been so used to worrying about everything, that I’ve turned daily tasks into a big deal.

Whenever I  feel that way again, when I feel my nerves getting all shaky and start to freak out, I’ll remember this quote and I really hope that it helps others out there who might be in the same situation as me.

Let me know any other quotes or sayings that have helped you out or that you believe in and until next time..

Byeee! xx
